With 40 years International Management experience, Jim is widely recognised as a leading expert on International Business/Marketing, Digital Disruption, Strategy and Leadership for the Digital Era.

He has successfully delivered on a broad range of consultancy assignments around the World, with clients ranging from SMEs to multinational organisations such as the World Bank, United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations, International Atomic Energy Agency, Economist Intelligence Unit, International Labor Office, Russian Foundation for SME Development, Malta Tourism Authority, the European Union, Scottish Enterprise, Visit Scotland, National Trust, Glasgow City Council, First Group, Iron Mountain and many others.

Jim has held Visiting Professorships or delivered Senior Executive Programmes in the US, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Malaysia, China, Norway, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, France, Austria, Iceland, Malta, Russia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Author of several books and numerous papers, he is Owner and CEO of Hamill Associates Ltd, a leading digital transformation business,based in Glasgow but operating globally. He is also Owner and CEO of Future Digital Leaders, creating business leaders ‘fit for purpose’ in an era characterised by turbulent digital change and Digital Darwinism.

With 5,000 LinkedIn connections and blog page views exceeding 10,000 per month, Jim is internationally recognised as a thought leader in digital age strategy and leadership.He has received over 300 Linkedin endorsements for his work in Business Strategy, Marketing, Digital Business and Social Media.

In 2010, Jim was voted as the ‘Most Innovative Lecturer of the Year’ by students at the University of Strathclyde for successfully redesigning the student learning experience around the use of social technologies. He is passionate about the role newtechnology can play in supporting business growth and national competitiveness.

He currently holds Visiting Professorships at the University of Strathclyde and University of Edinburgh Business Schools, where he delivers a very popular Executive MBA option in ‘Leadership for the Digital Era’. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Venice.

His non-work passions are football, music and spending time with his family.
